Houston, TX - Long-time leader in the area of utility enterprise asset management (EAM) and predictive maintenance, Rory Shaffer, has joined Utegration, LLC., a full-service technology consulting and solutions company focused on the utilities industry.
Mr. Shaffer brings over 30 years of national and international experience from his work at both PSE&G and SAP, including formal training as well as hands-on operational and engineering experience. He will serve as Executive Director of Asset and Performance Management. With the addition of Mr. Shaffer to its Finance and Asset Performance Management team, Utegration bolsters its utility asset performance practice with yet another top industry talent.
“Expectations for utilities have changed profoundly in the last 5-10 years, from renewables and non-traditional competition, to growing customer demands and new regulatory pressures,” said Bart Thielbar, CEO and President of Utegration. “We are delighted to have Rory join the Utegration team. With his expertise in how utilities can use data to adapt their operations for the future, he will bring real value to our clients.”
“In the utilities industry, we are past the hype cycle now and into the hard work of becoming data-driven,” says Shaffer. “Utegration and I share a vision of where the industry needs to go: using data to predict tomorrow’s problems in order to prevent them. Professionally, I want to work with people who have deep SAP and utility industry experience, because that makes a real difference in what we bring to the party. And personally, I’m drawn to the collaborative team atmosphere that makes Utegration a great place to work.”
Shaffer joins an established team of industry experts at Utegration, with an aggregate experience of nearly 160 years across the team, including multiple SAP EAM Platinum Consultants.
